JetBlue Mint is the airline's premium transatlantic and transcontinental product. It features standard Mint Seats without doors, and the exclusive front-row Mint Studio which includes a privacy door and extra space.
What Is JetBlue Mint?
JetBlue Mint is JetBlue Airways' premium cabin product offered on select transcontinental and transatlantic routes. It includes two seat types: standard Mint Seats without a privacy door, and the exclusive front-row Mint Studio, which adds a closing privacy door and extra personal space.
JetBlue introduced Mint in 2014 to compete with legacy carriers on high-demand routes like New York to Los Angeles and San Francisco, undercutting traditional business class fares while offering lie-flat comfort. The product later expanded to transatlantic routes including London, marking JetBlue's entry into international premium travel and pressuring incumbent airlines on pricing.
Key Features
Mint is flown on JetBlue's Airbus A321LR and A321neo aircraft in a 1-1 configuration, giving every passenger direct aisle access. Standard Mint Seats convert to fully lie-flat beds. The Mint Studio, located in row 1, is the only seat with a closing privacy door, a larger personal television, and additional stowage space, functioning similarly to a mini business-class suite found on international carriers. Cabin size varies by aircraft, with transatlantic configurations typically offering fewer total Mint seats than domestic transcontinental layouts.
Where to Find It
JetBlue Mint is exclusive to JetBlue Airways. It operates on transcontinental routes such as New York (JFK) to Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO), as well as transatlantic routes connecting New York and Boston to London. Mint is not available on JetBlue's shorter domestic or Caribbean routes, which are served by standard Core or Even More Space seating instead.
Traveler Tip
Book the Mint Studio in row 1 if privacy matters most on a long-haul flight — it's the only Mint seat with a closing door. Availability is limited to one or two Studio suites per aircraft, so book early. CEOFLIGHTS specialists can help find discounted fares — call (888) 851-6897.
