How It Works
The door slides or pivots on a track built into the seat shell, typically locking into place once closed and unlocking automatically or manually for takeoff and landing per safety regulations. Most privacy doors reach shoulder or head height when seated, roughly 45-50 inches, rather than floor-to-ceiling. They pair with 1-2-1 direct-aisle-access configurations, meaning every passenger can reach the aisle without climbing over a neighbor.
