THE Room is All Nippon Airways' flagship business class suite, featuring a fully enclosed private compartment with a sliding door and a seat width of up to 38 inches. It ranks among the widest business class seats in commercial aviation and gives every passenger direct aisle access.
ANA introduced THE Room to compete with the growing field of business class suites offering hard privacy doors, a trend led by carriers like Delta, Qatar Airways, and JetBlue. The product debuted on ANA's Boeing 777-300ER fleet and has since been refined for newer aircraft, including the Boeing 777-9. THE Room set a new benchmark for space in business class, moving beyond the traditional lie-flat seat toward a true suite experience with a level of enclosure previously reserved for first class.

THE Room seats are arranged in a reverse herringbone-inspired layout, alternating angle by row to maximize privacy and width. Seat width reaches up to 38 inches, roughly 15 inches wider than a typical business class seat. Each suite includes a sliding door for full enclosure, a 43-inch pitch in some configurations, a fully flat bed, adjustable mood lighting, a large personal entertainment monitor, and dedicated stowage space including a vanity-style shelf. Storage compartments allow passengers to keep personal items within reach without cluttering the seating area.
Where to Find It
THE Room is exclusive to All Nippon Airways and flies on select Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on long-haul international routes, including flights between Japan and major hubs in North America and Europe. ANA has continued expanding the cabin to newer aircraft deliveries, including the Boeing 777-9. No other airline currently offers this specific suite product, as it was custom-developed for ANA in partnership with seat manufacturer Jamco.
